I am very exhausted & tired of applying for jobs & not getting any response back. I have applied to more than 200 jobs till now but being a Fresher I am just left unresponded. This is very disheartening for me now. I keep losing hope everyday. What should I do! π
Improve your skills more then apply for jobs.
Hi, Thanks for sharing this here. I know this can be very disheartening. The most important advice for you is - Donβt take it personally. The no. of jobs in the market is way lesser than the no. of people who are applying for it. So this kind of thing is bound to happen.
But to be honest, there are a lot of things that you can work on and it will make you more hirable.
Can you tell me a little bit about your educational background, what kind of job are you looking for and what is your expected salary. I may be able to suggest something.
I have done Msc in Biotechnologyβ¦and Iβm open to work in any life science field but preferably Clinical Research & Pharma.
I am the first one in my family with a biology background rest all are mathematics enthusiast.
I donβt have anyone to guide me.I really need some guidance to step further
Thanks for sharing this with me. Unfortunately, I donβt have any idea about this field.
However, I can share some general principles with you that will be helpful to you.
So can you tell me how are you currently applying for jobs? And how many interviews have you given so far?
Also, how would you rate your communication skills out of 10?
Iβm applying to jobs through job posting websites like naukri.com & companyβs own talent search websites & linkedin.
I have given 2 interviews arranged by college placement cell. And have received few calls from other companiesβ¦but when they get to know that Iβm yet to give my final exams & receive my degree they become disinterested & ask me to get back to them after receiving the degree.
And Iβd rate my communication skills 8 out of 10.
Iβd be grateful for any help regarding job search. π
I know the feeling very well .I was a B-tech student . I applied for more than 50 jobs in my last year of college and couldnβt even get into a 3 tier company . All my friends got placed , i was the only one left . But I didnβt stop trying . In the 4th year end , when I was about to complete my course and leave college , I got placed in a startup . Guess what , that startup is merged into financial institution and i earn more than half of my friends now . Please dont give up , you are gonna end up in a good job someday . Just focus on improving your skills . All the best :)
