I am doing self pleasure these days since last few months not coz I am feeling like but coz I didn’t feel anything whole day than the stress, so just to feel good. I know it’s bad for my mental health. How do I avoid it?

I am guilty of it too and i know its bad for my health. I do check out bad effects of porn and masturbation though to avoid it. I have at times gone 3-4 weeks without doing it and trust me it feels good. Currently on my 6th day of restrain from it . Feeling good so far .

It fucks up your dopamine secretion level. Dopamine is the happy feeling waala hormone , you get that after finishing your daily tasks, achieving goal or doing what you love and its secretion is limited. When at climax during self please the amount secretion os much much more than what brain produces normally. If you keep masturbating regularly, you dont feel happy with normal low levels of dopamine which you get through hard work and patience and so you get addicted to masturbation for higher levels. Basically its addiction , which causes hormonal imbalance. It leads to deptession too cause you dont feel happy pr satisfied eith your other stuff plus productivity and desire to work hard goes down.

Thanks for the info, that’s what I was referring too. Well I started it out of depression, coz I don’t feel like doing anything, I don’t achieve anything, so don’t feel good too and ended up learning this 😢
