I am a sophomore and I think I like this freshman. He has been living restlessly in my thoughts these days because we are in a group project and his intelligence and dedication have touched my heart. However, I am friends with a freshman girl, who I think is more compatible with him. They seem more close and they fit in the same cup.
On the other hand, there is also another guy, who lives in another city and a junior. We have never met each other in real life but he is intelligent and nice but sometimes a jerk.
I like them both, but I can’t have them. They do not like me and I am insecure of myself. I do not know what to do. Confessing will make things awkward and stuff will be spread at school or we will never talk again. What a hassle.
- OK for this I’m going to call freshmen guy Guy A and the other guy is Guy B, and your friend that you think is more compatible Girl B.
- Also I have a question, do you mean in high school? Because I get really confused with the American titles for school years.
- Does Girl B like Guy A? Is so, maybe step out of the way if you think they’re better together and like each other. If not, I guess you can flirt a little and hope for the best! Maybe ask around if he likes anyone or something?
- As for Guy B?.. He sounds kind of iffy. To be fair, I am biased against people you’ve never met because the last time I trusted someone I never met it ended in tears, secrets and abuse. Also you said sometimes a jerk. Look after yourself and be careful of guys like that, you don’t deserve to be hurt.

Thank you. Girl B doesn’t like Guy A, from what Ik, but I think they suit each other more than I do because I’m not as smart as they are, pretty, and etc. And yes high school freshman 9th grade or year 9 for u guys, sophomore 10, junior 11, senior 12.
Cool, thanks for clearing that up! I think that if she doesn’t like Guy A you can try to get him yourself! :D If you think that she’s smarter or prettier than you, let me tell you a secret; that doesn’t matter. There is so much more to a person than their skin and how fast they can do maths. In my opinion, everyone is beautiful, if they have a good heart. There is this quote from 10 Things I Hate About You, where Patrick/Heath Ledger says “See, first of all (Imma change this bit) Girl B isn’t half the (and this bit) woman that you are. Secondly don’t let anyone ever make you feel like you don’t deserve what you want.” :D
