Hello everyone, I’m new to this platform and still learning about it.

Just something about myself - I’m 23 year old guy, working as a journalist in Bangalore for the last two years. I kinda feel awkward at times to interact with new people. I have very few friends in this city, mostly from work. I have been trying to learn more about myself and accept certain feelings and taking therapy. Therapy did unearth a lot of repressed feelings and inhibitions that I brushed under the carpet for a very long time. Through therapy I got to know about this platform.

The last one and a half years were very uneventful and I didn’t do anything to work on myself - neither careerwise nor personally. I was sort of stuck in a rut and didn’t make any effort to change myself. I’m taking baby steps, though I’m still struggling to stay committed to work on myself. I have issues with self esteem. I pretend that I’m being modest, but it doesn’t hide that I don’t feel confident about myself. I used to be prejudiced about taking therapy or embracing ones feelings, thinking that it was uncool. I’m still prejudiced about lot of things and I overthink on what course of action to pursue next.

I like this girl at office who happens to be a very good friend of mine. She’s a year older to me and has helped and mentored me work-wise and in various aspects. I feel really grateful for her support and encouragement. I have so much love and adoration for her. I don’t feel it is appropriate to allude my feelings to her that I love her a lot, since she has a bf. I feel that I should keep this as a platonic friendship. I didn’t show interest in one job offer at work as she was also applying  for the same role. I did not want to follow her where she goes and still have those feelings. She has got many friends and supportive people in Bangalore. I guess there must be something to do with her upbringing and I feel jealous at times.

I really feel that if I had more friend in this city and if had a girlfriend, I wouldn’t need to be attached to her. My social interactions over the last many months were limited to just few folks that included my parents, flatmate, my small college gang and her. I am going to the office since last week, partly to meet new people and in part to meet this girl that I like.

I just want to meet more people and feel less attached and lonely.

When I moved to college you were the first girl I met. Never felt so close to any other person. I shared each and every experience with you from my childhood to present. You were my best friend. I did love you A. With all of my heart. I cared for you. I meant the best for you. 
I never wanted to go behind your back to hurt you. But you were playing with two people's lives. I had to do it.What you were doing was wrong, it still is wrong. I tried to stop you a million times but you didn't listen to me. I had to do it. Even now you didn't stop doing wrong to those people. I did everything I had in power to stop you. I even lost my best friend. We don't talk anymore. We're not in each other's lives. But believe me. I really loved you, you were my best friend. I miss you a lot. But I don't want you now in my life for what you did. 
I lost my best friend. And it hurts.
