I actually think I depend on others to know myself.
I’m 19 years old but still unsure what I want to do in the future.
I was raised not choosing what I want rather following orders from others (mostly my parents) and not allowed to give my opinion, I’m used to it even sometimes I got pissed off, like when my parents wants me to be a nursing student and I’m pissed off because I don’t want to do nursing but because I don’t know what course I’ll get, I might do nursing.
Is it weird? Being a FOLLOWER?

I was also someone who unlike others didn’t have a future goal. I was unsure as to what is that I want to pursue or become in life. I do now and I’m 21 years old. :)
Parents can force a career for you especially when we don’t know ourselves what to do and the option left is going ahead with it.
If Nursing is something you don’t want to do FOR SURE, then tell this to your parents and in the meanwhile explore options as to what you want to do (atleast see your skills and your interests and start by telling this).
When they ask you, if this is not what you want, what is it that you want?
You should have an answer so that they can’t force you to do something else.
It isn’t wrong to be a follower but if you choose something on the basis of someone else then with time you need to figure out what is that you want, am I happy with this in front of me or I want to switch to something else. Everyone finds a way out and you will too. Just sit with yourself and think and list down what all you would love to explore, learn in future, might love this, can have a bright future in that (keep all these things in mind).
