Will tell you the context, one of my friend received a rishta on around 25th April 22, the guy’s mother visited the girl’s house… She liked the girl… after that the friend told me both the families do the background check… meanwhile the girl’s family visited the guy’s family but it’s 7th June today almost 40 plus days but Yes we can go ahead signal has not received from girl’s family… does this mean it’s a No from them or its normal in arrange marriages? The guy friend is still waiting for the response from girl’s family end and jeopardizeing his career.

Actually they are going through a mediator and the guy just told me the process is underway but it’s too damn slow… ( might be living on false hope) and we’re waiting for green signal from girl’s family… I don’t think that mediator is also helping them

Meanwhile your friend should also consider meeting another potential partner
He’s so relied and interested in that Rishta… he is so positive about it that he will get a positive reply from them as the rishta is referred by his near and dear ones… the girl’s party should not delay with the reply… the guy’s situation is little complicated, he works in merchant navy… 4 months home only other 8 months onboard… he is not going onboard as well awaiting the reply from girl… his job can be hurdle in his marriage
