Been in this boat and I know it’s very difficult to let go. I tried an exercise and it worked for me. Find out a flaw in them. It could be physical, emotional, behavioural or anything. And fixate on that flaw. Whenever you feel the urge to text them, just think about that flaw and how it bothers you. Not sure if this is gonna work for you, but i really hope it does.

Go with the flow. Express yourself fully,if their reaction reciproctes love accept or else the bitterness is good enough to erase them from your memory,afterall self respect is the biggest power.
