How do we make sure whether a person deserves a second chance or not?

Mental breakdown, yes. Rest, no. So I’m not sure… if they say what they did wasn’t done intentionally, how to know whether we can give them the benefit of the doubt?

Very true. Have always kept my guard up but somewhere thought of letting someone in only for my fears to come true. Now I’m super cautious lol but somewhere I think I still have feelings and I’m not sure how to completely get rid of them bc he keeps trying to come into my life, and a part of me likes his presence. But a part of me doesn’t want him at all for causing me pain. 

Oof that’s a tough question bc I don’t think we’ve reached a stage where we both know each other on that level. I’m not sure whether I can answer that question now bc not only are we long distance but we haven’t been together for that long.

Intentions and behaviour to change the things.  If you think person is really giving efforts towards the thing which is done then give second chance. 

As long as the person hasn't done anything that lead you to question your self worth, or lead you to mentally break down in any way, or ever physically hurt you, or cheated on you, or caused you to lose any friendships or relationships with family members, or ever tried to degrade you...I think they deserve a second chance...

I'm keeping my mouth shut because I don't want to cause any mistake that I'll regret but that doesn't mean I will ignore the mistakes that you did which caused a big effect in my life. I'm just planning what's the right thing to do without hurting anyone.
