How do we make sure whether a person deserves a second chance or not?

Mental breakdown, yes. Rest, no. So I’m not sure… if they say what they did wasn’t done intentionally, how to know whether we can give them the benefit of the doubt?

Very true. Have always kept my guard up but somewhere thought of letting someone in only for my fears to come true. Now I’m super cautious lol but somewhere I think I still have feelings and I’m not sure how to completely get rid of them bc he keeps trying to come into my life, and a part of me likes his presence. But a part of me doesn’t want him at all for causing me pain. 

Oof that’s a tough question bc I don’t think we’ve reached a stage where we both know each other on that level. I’m not sure whether I can answer that question now bc not only are we long distance but we haven’t been together for that long.

Intentions and behaviour to change the things.  If you think person is really giving efforts towards the thing which is done then give second chance. 

As long as the person hasn't done anything that lead you to question your self worth, or lead you to mentally break down in any way, or ever physically hurt you, or cheated on you, or caused you to lose any friendships or relationships with family members, or ever tried to degrade you...I think they deserve a second chance...

I am regretting giving someone so many chances 

No regrets in life . Just leasons learned

What was my biggest crime? It was to have hope. Hope for a better future. Hope for a better life. Hope for stable and healthy relationship. 
All I did was ever Hope. 

Just as Oppenheimer came to regret his contributions to the first atomic bomb, so too I regret my participation in what was, at the very least, an error in judgement. The hallmark of the great human experiment is the willingness to recognise one’s mistakes....Some mistakes, such as Madame Curie’s discovery of Radium turned out to have great scientific potential even though she would later die a slow, painful death from radiation poisoning....


Having no regrets is all that she really wants ~~

I have a regret till date. I unfollowed someone I liked the most and that too almost a year ago because of non-reciprocity and now I regret it to my core. I miss her and I shouldn’t have unfollowed her. I did that thinking I’ll get over her and behave like how I behave with others but couldn’t. I wish we go back to how we were but that’s never gonna happen mostly
