Honestly the best feeling is when you realise that it’s you who matters. Most of the times when people who we thought would stick with us forever leave, we blame ourselves and think that we are incapable of being loved. After months of crying myself to sleep, I realised how important it is to be at peace with yourself. Stop trying to force things to happen. Be content with yourself

Hey there !
I think everyone, at some point, has blamed or at least questioned themselves when someone who they thought they were close to, decides to leave/betray them. It is but natural to want an answer as to why things happened in the manner they did. But eventually, one has to come to terms with the fact that it wasn’t meant to be, and probably for the best. You are right when you say that it is important to be at peace with oneself, to know for sure in your heart that you know who you are and you haven’t wronged the other person. But it still hurts at first, and then maybe later on you realise why they had their reasons for acting the way they did and then you learn to forgive and let go. The only way to practice compassion and empathy is to know where the other person is coming from, and why they’ve acted in the manner that they have.

Self doubt after being through a broken relationship is inevitable. What we should know is how to get past in, and believe in ourselves and fate. Something good will get to us eventually!
