I suppose to be happy cuz I just came out to someone that I know

but why I'm not happy?
maybe cuz if i be rational enough

your happiness, is entirely in your own hands. you choose what makes you happy or sad. realising that fact has changed me. as of now i don’t have a particular reason for my happiness, i just generally feel much lighter and happier. Hope it stays this way

Today saw children going with thier parents to PTM .... Was really refreshed to see the diversity of expressions.
-Some parents happy to see thier child's progress
-Some parents waiting to reach home and unleash thier wrath.
- A child so tensed of what will happen one he/she reaches home.😂😂😂😂😂( My favorite)
- A child enjoying the treat and boasting in front of friends .
- A child happy in his own thoughts not giving a damn of what happened/ or what is going to happen.

What do neuroscience, buddhism, taoism and stoicism have in common? They all figured out that pleasure is not happiness. Buddhism says that what keeps us suffering is the constant seeking of pleasure and from a neurobiological perspective this is true. What pleasure is, is dopamine and all dopamine wants is more dopamine. It is the molecule of more, it is never content.

Dopamine is the primary driver behind all of addiction and so from a neuro biological perspective, seeking pleasure ends up not being about the pleasure itself, but more about alleviating the suffering and pain that exists in pleasures absence. So what do we do about that?

We need to retrain our brain, ourselves to crave peace over pleasure to find joy within challenge and to find happiness within the process. The process of being alive.
