Idk abt any particular act but if its abuse of any kind even by ur siblings you can definitely take it up to higher authorities…btw have you tried speaking to the elders in the family??
Parents sit and watch this. Instead they say that I have to bear everything. I just got out of an abusive marriage and I’m facing taunts that I’m supposed to shut my mouth whatever happens to me or my kid as it’s our fate. I see my mom hitting my kid.

You should definitely contact the police in this case. Its better to get control of the situation before things go out of hand
I have seen police saying that its between you and your family. Deal it by yourself. It happened in our neighborhood. Not sure if they will consider it.

Okay thats so unfair…so what u can do next is contact an NGO that deals with such situations…they often do have people of power who can actually make a difference when the law turns a blind eye.

Yes! There’s a reason why it’s called a domestic violence act at the first place . The kind of abuse that exists within the household. Please file a case if he/she is harming you .
