Hi all. I’m getting married in nov this year. It’s a love marriage. My mom’s a single mom. The grooms family asked for a dowry of 20lacs cash. I dont know what to do. Even though it’s a love marriage they asked for 20lacs cash from a single mom and rest of the marriage expense is on us. They aren’t gonna spend a single rupee from their end. Is it correct? What do I do?

If it is love marriage then how they demanding 20lacs.
Really your partner loves if he dont want to involve in this matter then how he can be wuth you in future if something happen between you and your in laws.

Agar aap bhi independent ho toh yrh arrange ho ya love marriage dowry is not right! And also if you are not independent the assets should be transferred on your name. Rishta toh abhi shuru hone wali hai agar ladka abhi apka saat nahi deraha hai toh ageka kya honewala? Just think and make a decision.
