Hey people! π»π A quick question
How do you treat yourself after facing a rejection?
What is your immediate response?
And what is the aftermath or your coping mechanism?
Please share your precious insights π»ππ

Is this just for rejection in love, friendship and relationships or for other aspects of life, like career, missed opportunities or failed attempts??

I was moving towards the relationship part, but now that youβve mentioned, it would be nicer to include those too :)

Sorry there have been some glitches/ webpage loading issues and I havenβt been able to access the website.
Specifically talking about career and missed opportunities I have experienced it multiple timesβ¦ on the specific day and sometimes for couple of days the sadness remains when one knows that the efforts put in were more than sufficient, but eventually after sometime (particularly relating to situations in my life) I have always got the news that the opportunity wasnβt that great for me in the long-run.
I applied for multiple roles in BiG4βs and other big companiesβ¦even cleared all the rounds but due to certain reasons (majorly illogical and merely valid ones) I couldnβt get the roles I felt I was suitable forβ¦ Gradually after a few months I get to know a few of known or someone else(friendβs friend) applied for the same role and got placed successfully but now are cursing their decision as the positions had limited growth, scope in future and effected the Work Life Balance and many other problems. TBH I donβt like following the crowd and wish to do things that not many are doing or finding unconventional ways of doing things which may or may not be agreed upon by people who work blindly or just for the sake of doing it.
People told me βYou are lucky enough that you didnβt get into that role or organization.β And I was like π€£ππ
This has happened multiple times. There was another incident when I walked in for a role in 2017 where there were 300 contenders. It took the entire day, multiple roundsβ¦ during the final round I was asked how soon I could join(they wanted joining within 3 weeks max)β¦ I stated my college is on for another 7 weeks and they always had the attendance theory π·I said Iβll still try if they release me a little earlyβ¦ I had 7 subjects in the last semester and Accordingly 7 professors. 6 professors agreed after they got to know about the company/offer and it being off-campus, but 1 professor said NO and the opportunity was lost π
But after a few months I got a message on LinkedIn from another candidate I met during the interview. He told me that he was selected and given an offer letter but the offer was later revoked. Due to cost cutting the company transferred all the projects to a different branch in another state.
In a nutshell whenever I had any sort of rejection/disappointment it actually saved me from a way bigger disappointment ππ€ because thereβs something way better waiting ahead. Losing hope isnβt a solution. Hustle isπ

Honestly, I feel so pumped up now after reading this, haha!
Actually, I am also facing a series of βNo(s)β, lately, which makes me so anxious and makes me question my capabilities too.
I hope that these rejections lead me to a greater good which is apt for me.
Thanks alot for sharing. πππ»π»

If you have put in all your efforts whether 100% or more and still things didnβt workout (taking any situation into consideration) then thereβs something much better for you ahead!!
All we can do is to work for everything we wish for but if that doesnβt happen as per our expectations we tend to feel low but that shouldnβt remain for ever. There are so much more to life!!

it obviously feels bad but i try to think about the reasons of rejection and how can i improve myself. also is the rejection because of something i should have done or i did something wrong. most importantly, i donβt fight with the person immediately because fights done when angry turn out disastrous
