I use to talk about my day by responding to other people and telling them about my experiences so that maybe it helps them. In that sense, I recollect my thoughts, introspect and try to encapsulate my day. The difference is that I do it for others, instead of doing it solely for myself!
But in that process, I end up dealing with my own thoughts and emotions, and that really helps and can be very intuitive a lot of times.
