😀 Gotta love dealing with a disability when you don’t feel like getting out of bed in the morning. My disabilities aren’t high maintenance (aside from going to the doctor every week cause oops my blood is too t h i c c) [I have a mechanical heart valve and as a result, my blood has to be at a certain thickness, so I have to keep up with a strict medicine regimen… which sometimes I don’t sometimes 😅] but man do I n o t want to deal with them.

You have a mechanical heart? That is so awesome in a way…so if you put a magnet closer to your heart will it get stick to your body?

I- I almost spit out my drink that made me laugh so hard. But seriously that’s what I thought would happen too! As it turns out, no a magnet won’t stick to me booooo. It’s not like a pacemaker, (which is affected by a lot of stuff compared to a mechanical heart valve.) the amount of metal that is used in it is really really small, so things like metal detectors, radio waves, and MRI/CT scans won’t make any impact on my heart valve (and I won’t set off a metal detector with my heart valve.)

Does it hurn in any way while your mechanical hearts working?

Nope! I can barely tell it’s there, but when my heart is pumping, you can also hear a slight clicking sound, that’s the heart valve opening and closing, and it sounds like the ticking of a clock. I’ve learned to block the sound out, but if I ever get bored I sometimes focus on it and listen. Some people have gotten really annoyed by it not realizing that it was my heart valve xD

Okay that’s a good thing. So will you die if the mechanism stop working?

I will probably go into an attack, but yes I will possibly die if it’s not taken care of immediately. That’s why I have to take extreme measure to make sure that my blood isn’t thick at all (because if it’s thick, I will have a much higher chance of getting a blood clot)
