I think,We humans are the ones who makes laws and beliefs and then misuses it.
Like sometimes my mother says that, don’t cut your nails on tuesday, Thursday and saturday! Can you believe that people’s of 21st century can believe in something like this. There are several laws(in india) like an accused person has the right to be treated right. But if a rapist is accused…then does he deserves it? NO but we can’t do anything. It’s very important to find a balance between this.
