I have been meeting  my ex lately  cheated on me. He’s trying to become friends with me but I sometimes feel a bit

I want to forgive my boyfriend who cheated on me because he was the one who came clean and has been trying to prove himself to me ever since he told me. Does that make me a stupid person?
