8 ways in which we struggle with Emotions

We all sometimes struggle with our feelings. Sometimes, anger gets the better of us, loneliness takes a hold of our minds, anxiety creeps in about something. But how exactly do we struggle with out emotions?  
Here are some of the common ways in which I have witnessed clients struggle with feelings:

1. Not being able to identify what emotion we are feeling 

2. Finding it hard to link an emotion to an experience 

3. Inability in Expressing our emotions 

4. Suppressing our emotions 
(distraction, dissociation, numbing ourself through substances or other experiences)

5. Over intellectualizing our emotional experience 

6. Channeling many unpleasant emotions into anger 

7. Viewing being emotional as a weakness 

8. Not taking responsibility for your emotions (Blaming) 

Getting to know ourselves and work on our emotions is a process, but it starts with awareness. The next time you feel like you're stuck with a feeling, use this checklist to figure out how. 

Sometimes the biggest step is in knowing our patterns. Through identifying them, we can start having a healthier relationship with our own mind!

i just don't know if i am doing it wrong or am i missing something. Like its been over an year i couldn't just get a hold of my work cycle,i fee like i am not fully into it,but as hard as try the doors keep closing making me wonder if i did the thing wrongly or its just their will. no matter how hard i try i get literally 1% of my hardwork in return. its just like i don't feeling like doing the work i do sometimes. i just feel that i should just run away from my routine and drop the things i have been doing so far to just follow my passion.am doing it rightly or should i just drop it down

Hi!
I feel quite lonely in life. I don't have a lot of friends and the ones that I have are really good. And I'm very grateful for them. But they themselves seem to have problems going on inside their lives. I listen to them and offer advice (if they ask and if I have any). But I don't have anyone to go to. The people in my life that I love don't seem to understand me. They do speak to me very disrespectfully and have no regard for my feelings. It is almost as if they don't care if I am hurt by their words and actions. I sometimes wish that I could be like them and behave rudely with them as well. But then the thought itself feels like I'm committing a sin. The thing is my loved ones show arrogance towards me, but then after they realise that they were wrong, they will come and apologise. And I, being the soft stupid person I am, easily accept their apology, forgive and move on just for them to do the thing again. I feel as if their apology is never sincere. And that I'm taken for granted and that they don't really need me in their lives. I feel so unwanted, little and lonely. I wish I could have someone whom I could lean on without the fear of being judged. I tried to share my feelings with my partner and was told that there are people who suffer more. I do acknowledge that a lot of people have it worse and my problems don't even quality to be problems. But it wouldn't hurt to have someone to talk to.
