When I message someone in a group, I keep checking to see if anyone’s seen my messages or If they LIKED my message. Is this me seeking validation from people? (Same for when I send messages to people too I keep checking if they’ve left me on seen or if they’ve replied) or am I overthinking 😊

So i am a person who has been through a lot of broken friendships over my 23 years of life. this has made me set boundaries and not someone let in easily. so a friend of mine recently
said that i don't reciprocate with her and that setting boundaries is hurting her. i feel like I'm broken and I'm breaking hearts now. she says no one has treated me the way I have treated her, which is not the way she expected.
after all i was trying to protect myself, having my past experiences in my head.
i feel terrible about this. my intention was never to hurt her.

College

If I'm honest with myself, I really miss you, your smile, your laugh, the way you concentrated when fixing your motorcycle, the way you would tease me when fast food places would mess up my order. I genuinely really miss you. But I cannot love you when I cannot even love myself. I hope one day we can create a new journey and if we don't I wish you the best in yours.
