Idk but i think that when a person gets reported i would suggest that your team personally looks at their actions and if they are really harmful or not. Because people here can report a person just because they judge them or they dont match their perspectives. That would prevent people getting banned unnecessarily amd ultimately losing this platform to share their feelings. Thankyou!✌

I’ve been part of the community for a really short period, but I’ve had great experience so far. I’m blessed to be part of this community. But there have been some disturbing posts as well, which I personally felt were triggering (even if to some they might not be) and would not like to see. May be if there are filters about what kind of threads we would like to see or showing posts only from the tags we choose. I guess this could prevent us from the posts/kind of posts we do not like to see.

But, I strongly suggest that do not add direct message feature, it’ll become same as other platforms and will threaten the privacy of people. I believe the people concerned are working with their best interest to make the community a safespace. Sending love ❤️

I’m glad you paid attention to this issue. Recently, I’ve seen people misusing the platform for inappropriate purposes, and I even reported one of them, and immediate action was also taken, which I highly appreciate. I think the community guidelines should be more prominently displayed before any person, before he/she joins the platform, so that the person gets aware that their intentions will not be tolerated here, and would decide whether to join or not accordingly. Also, whenever someone posts something, there can be a check box saying “I’ve not violated the Community Guidelines”, or something like tha so that even if a user is not aware of these guidelines, then can give it a read, and become conscious about that they’re posting is appropriate or not. In this way, from the user’s side themselves in the first place, such inappropriate posts can be avoided. Talking about your side, it’s already quite impressive that you have the report option available to all of us. Also, I believe a regular monitoring if the users are appropriately using the platform should be done. These are some of my suggestions.
Another problem that I want you’ll to look into is the constant tendency of users to ask you out about connecting on different platforms instead of this platform itself, because I feel then it doesn’t make sense having such a useful feature called anonymity on the platform if people are not interested in talking here.

I normally assist/respond anonymously but today I won’t do that and will post from my user handle so that you know my user handle should you wish to communicate further on a few suggestions below.

I think as your company is growing more (indication of Thoughts volume increasing quite exponentially in the last few weeks) you will inevitably attract creeps from all over. It becomes an issue when you have both adults and minors on one platform with most willing to exchange social media handles that could go sideways in many ways.

I know your site well enough by now and will suggest some ideas you can actually implement (hopefully) without much expenditure in any way.

1. Some of the people that come onto this platform mean well but there is a fundamental difference between giving advise vs suggestions and it’s never really a good idea to advise as some may really take it to heart and act on it. It’s all about Active Listening which is what people really need to practise more here. You have the training materials already ready - https://nowandme.com/resources/ (Peer Counselling Module). You can create a FREE Google Docs Form and have like Multiple Choice Questions, Essay Answers & Open Ended Questions that have no right or wrong answers for those that want to be trained Active Listeners on Now&Me. The Peer Module can be used as the study module as no extra work is required here from your team. That module is good to get started.

2. If such a FREE process is offered and just as how you have a verified tick next to your name… you can offer that same thing for people that make an effort to become trained Active Listeners as well. So again here, it’s taking an existing functionality that’s already working of the orange tick and maybe giving a green coloured tick for trained Active Listeners.

3. If Now&Me Team wants to do all the legwork - that is ok as you all may have the capacity to do so in terms of time. But if you invest in trusted and again trained, verified moderators to assist you in this - this will help you in the long run. I’m not sure if you’ve reached 100k+ members here but I’m sure those days will come soon and you will need the community to fall back onto at that time. Best to get started early.

4. The Company & Platform are still too young to offer Live Chat / Private Chat as a service. Will the chats remain anonymous, will now&me have a copy of it etc etc are issues you need to consider. So please be careful on this again because - your site doesn’t distinguish minors and adults separately and all are on one platform. Please be careful on this.

If you’re able to just get the 1st 2 points implemented for now, I think Now&Me has the potential to do extremely well in India & possibly overseas as well. Hold frequent discussions with your members like us who mean well and we’ll be there for you thru the good and bad times.

Many of them are asking for a private chat option.
Please don’t do that.
This platfom is great this way. Where everyone can talk together. This is unique. So let it be.
And yes, please try for an app.

Honestly, some people are using this to just find someone to date. I’ve been using for a couple of days now but have come across many such posts. And there are a few who keep posting insulting comments on many posts. I guess there should be an option to report a profile instead. Coz you can’t keep reporting every such comment coming from a single person. This is a safe space for people like me to share our grief. It’s pathetic to see such people taking it lightly and making fun of every post.

I have been dating from Last past 4 years and now suddenly he feels that his friends are more important and I’m not understanding we got into a big fight and I asked to choose between them or me …he went with them . I have exams in less than a month he hasn’t deleted photos from anysocial media but he didn’t called or texted once in this fifteen days I m so stressed and depressed I just don’t know what to do and how to deal with it
