Yes! She could possibly accept when u tell her ur self rather than she get to know from other people coz it could possibly may create misunderstandings

Yes she could but I think it would be better if they become friends coz only after that they would know each other well, and most of the time girlfriends don’t like the girl bestfriends coz they’re insecure and they shouldn’t cross the line and it’s all okay
