Been dealing with it since Age 7! Been through a lot of bullying, struggle and pain since then. It is a physical issue but has a very large mental impact and mental toll on you.

My sister has alopecia. She has been through a lot in her life. I wish you all the strength in the world xx
No one 111 @jarul
You can’t control it. It is super hard evidently. But alternatives are wearing wigs or even a weave. Your body is exactly how it is supposed to be. You are valid with or without alopecia

Hey, I have seen a friend go through it. People can be mean sometimes. Especially when they don’t know what the person is going through. I’d say, don’t let it get to you.
Simran Patel @simranpatel
You’re absolutely right. Awareness about the issue is the best way to make people understand it’s seriousness. People like you and I will make all the difference we can❤️ Much love.

Hope you are doing good now.
This is the first place i have come across where there is a community for Alopecia. Mostly people don’t even know what it is. I can totally relate with you on this. I got my first patch when I was 5 years old. It grew after that and now I am completely bald. It does has a mental toll on you but you need to realise that it’s just hair, an extra accessory and now you can style it better. I embrace it by thinking that i can use different wigs now and look the way i want to, every single time! stay strong xx
From the person who wrote this post - The worst part is that nobody talks about it. As you said, Simran, that you’ve seen a friend go through it? But that’s hardly the case. The person next to me might have this but I wouldn’t know about it. There isn’t enough awareness about alopecia.
Thank you so much Jarul and Simran and the anonymous people for the love and support!❤️
