As a woman in Delhi, India I find myself super confused about my views on the new move by the delhi govt. to make public transport free. on the one hand, i feel it can give non-believers another opportunity to critique feminism since this isn’t exclusively addressing the point of equality. on the other hand, i also feel it necessary for the regressive households that still hold back women as this could be the reason to smooth out processes for them and ensure more participation perhaps.

Yes, that’s definitely true. But what I’m concerned about, is that this move shows how inferior we are portrayed in front of men. There could be laws to make the city safer for us but no, they think free travel is the solution.
