OMG yes!. I read a thread yesterday about how marriage is ultimately a patriarchal institution and more often than not we are conditioned to believe that it is a life goal. I have been looking to get married for the past couple years to find love and companionship and also to satisfy my parents. I am not fully sure whether I want to get married but it just feels like a thing to do. I feel like I am losing to societal expectations. I havenβt seen one marriage around me which is close to being an equal affair. Its so skewed. Its scary and I donβt know what to do about it.

I am going through the same thing it feels like Marriage is the ultimate Goal of life and we have to live as per society expectations π

Iβm going through the same β¦ the constant pressure from parents is killing me everydayβ¦ their comparison with other childrenβs are really killing me.
