All my past experiences have made me come up with a theory:
The Theory Of Suppression Of Feelings.
According to it, you never stop feeling something towards someone. Your initial feelings are just suppressed by newer ones ones. For example, if you ever like someone, you never stop liking them. Your feelings of likingness are just suppressed by other feelings(anger, sadness, jealousy, etc)
This is why the first impression is the most important one.

You sure about this? I feel over time our initial feelings do go away. I dated someone for the LONGEST time(5 years) and it’s been 3 years since we broke up and I can say for sure that I don’t have feelings for him anyomore. Infact I don’t even think about him anymore…
