content is the aftermath of the emotion of happy passing, happy is a state of mnd that can come and go, its more of a skill i think actually… content is an oddly neutral kind of word, but i think it basically means you wouldn’t change much for the moment, things are good. complacency is the on ya gotta watch out for

amit @lonesome1

Interesting … I like the idea about complacency …I want to content than happy as a priority is what I feel …

Zak Puckett @ztothephour

i’d say run them concurrent, whats you’re understanding of happy?

I think content is - I’m okay with myself and I’m not trying to change what I can’t and not dealing with anything I don’t need to. Being okay with what you’ve taken on your plate and having the balance between your expectations and reality. And knowing that what I imagine/dream has power and what exists in this three dimensional world also has a lot of power and what we do with both will result in our next days being the way they will be.
It’s being at an equilibrium, not that there isn’t hardship or daily life stuff that doesn’t go out way. But you find a balance between all that. The good out weighs the bad. Whatever let’s you down, makes you feel down, you find a way to come back to your original state of mind, maybe that’s silence maybe that’s being productive, maybe it’s pondering and exploring that gets you there. So maybe it’s knowing how to not let external factors paralyse/ make u stuck in that state of mind. The way to flow like water through it all.
It seems poetic I know, but I feel being content is too.
Happiness is a feeling.
Just like anger, joy, envy, sadness etc.
They’re just results. Not an act. So it’s subjective and unpredictable.
That’s just my opinion and how I think atm about this. That’s all

Wow ok and so well written … are you an author by profession ! … thanks for the reply sure … ya it’s some kind of difference as between money and value I guess.: I sure want to me more content …what do you want for yourself ?

I got expanded corelations if you’re looking for open philosophy talk, hard to find peopleinterested that have also spent time on their own. I have more than enough thoughts to share, I’d enjoy a good exchange for refinement. Just putting it out there. I kno life is busy and that conversation takes both time and attention

i need more wonderings to shave my past ponder wanders on.

Contentment is more like a state of mind after you are satisfied with what you have or got in life, irrespective of what others think of it. Happiness is more like a mood, temporary in my opinion (for it might change into something else at any point of time).

Contentment is not always great! Cause if you have set your contentment standard lower u will be okay with a life with less quality! I mean you would never want to experience greater and better things just because u are already satisfied with what you have. I suggest you to not set any standards and just let th e feelings in you flow in every moment of your life. Dont control it and feel whatever the moments make u feel!
