My partner and I lived in India as partners and initially it did bother us and we realised we could do little to change their behaviour but basically train ours to ignore them and walk-way… carry on with life like nothing happened…

I know the feeling, the feeling of being scared to be with the person you love in public because of the judgement and the preying eyes. But the thing I don’t agree with is changing who I am, it took me a long time to love and accept myself and now I wouldn’t want to change a thing about me because it made me who I am today. I know it can really challenging to live in a society where people think the very existence of homosexuals is a sin but I promise you that you will find your people, people who you can be yourself in front of, your crowd and then it wouldn’t matter what society thinks.
