Is memory issue common in anxiety?

I woke up this morning feeling sad. I am a genuine believer that we are in control of our thoughts and emotions, and not the other way around, but lately it hasn’t been feeling that way. I’ve been finding ways to get upset over the smallest inconveniences and then I just let it ruin my mood from there on out and I don’t know why or how to stop. It’s so stupid but it’s taking a toll on me and my relationships and if I don’t learn how to be in control again I feel like I’m going to stay sad in this same loop forever.

I want to share something with u guys
I am Hindu, he is Muslim. It is really difficult for us to get married . Apart from us and our family’s this is one sided I used to date him last year as we were in a mutual understanding to part our ways when a time comes and we decided to be friends and I made my self strong but one day he called me and cried that his father has a cancer . I just realised that I can’t bear when he cries and I realised how much I love him 🥹. See I want to say I m the most happiest person when I m around him but he won’t be happy for sure if I marry him coz I have a rare medical condition I m just stopping myself from him due to this , becoz he deserves to be a happy man and I think I can’t make him happy but letting our loved one go is really a hard thing and the happy aspect is that to see them happy and live a life like this 🥲
