So I was scrolling through insta and saw this one post about adhd. I’ve suspected that I may have adhd ever since I learnt about it and after seeing that post I went into a wormhole of adhd related posts and I felt like I understood myself a lot more after a long time. But now, I don’t know what I should do next. Any advice? Should I first approach a professional? I’m skeptical about that cause I have never spoken to my parents about it and I’m very unsure about revealing this to them.

They are your parents, they will understand you more than someone in this world. Tell them first then contact some professionals. It’s still not too late I guess. Gather some courage and go. ALL THE BEST

Reading posts on social media makes me wonder if I have half the things there are on social media…
On the contrary, learning about new things is amazing… it helps us understand ourselves better…
There are a few reliable tests you can take online from specific institutes… to diagnose your condition… however, not entirely reliable still… until you consult a professional…
If you have amazing parents, its worthwhile discussing with them first…

@ursav

If you went to professional and they’re dismissing you, don’t 100% believe them because most psychiatrists often misdiagnose their patients especially if you’re a collage student. I really hope you don’t meet this kind. Wish the best luck for you. I never went to one but I still acknowledge that I have ADHD and it improves my life a lot. Try engaging with ADHD community too to learn more about it.

Hey i have adhd
Emotion change rapidly, can’t focus in one thing, changing interest rapidly can’t complete one task having issue with multitasking… If you feel really interest in something do uh feel uh forget everything specially interesting thing which you are doing right now.

Depends on your parents. My parents think I’m just finding an excuse to being care less and lazy. Tell them only if your parents are supportive otherwise it’s a hell hole.
