Well you did the right thing. Communication is the basic requirement of any relationship and if yoy thought that things are not going good and you conveyed it to him. You did the absolutely right thing.
But i guess he’s still a little childish and has some ego problems. Because often times it happens that we tell the fault or their shortcomings. They can’t take that feedback in a positive way and instead of improving themselves, they try to blame the other person.
So i guess give him sometime. And give yourself also time to think about this.
If he’s being like this due to these little things then there arw very less chance of improvements in the future also
