During the current time, what has been more talked about when it comes to sexuality pronouns are the issues of equality and acceptance of transgender and nonbinary individuals, and for them sexual pronouns become important. In general terms, pronouns are used to identify ourselves apart from our respective names…it is how someone refers about you and me in their conversations. In addition, it also helps in affirming your identity. As far as the sexuality pronouns are concerned, some people express their gender in a non-binary way and use pronouns like they/them. Similarly, people who might look like one gender to you, might identify as another gender. It is not difficult to break the ice when it comes to asking about sexual pronouns from other individuals, for instance you can simply start by asking ‘what pronouns do you use?’ or you can start by introducing yourself by using your preferred pronouns. Some of the common pronoun etiquettes you can follow while having discussions about sexuality pronouns is – at the time of introductions, don’t compel someone to share pronouns; do not say that you use ‘female’ or ‘male’ pronouns; do not joke about the usage of your pronouns, among others. In addition, their pronouns do not tell anything about the individual’s identity, but it is just about how they’d like to be addressed just like their respective names.
