Since it's Mental Health Awareness Day today, I wanted to share a self regulation check list we had made a few months back, which still seems to be helpful on some tough days, where we cannot get ourselves to do anything. 

Taking care of ourselves can be difficult for us, a lot of times. Here's a little something we can try doing, when everything feels heavy. :)

Gentle Self Regulation Checklist for Hard Days 🌻

Essential tasks- 
1. Get out of bed.
2. Take a shower.
3. Clean up one space/thing.

Be mindfully present to- 
1. A sound or your favourite song 
2. A sensory feeling 
3. Something you enjoy seeing
4. Reach out to someone beyond your home setting.
5. Do one thing that gets your heart rate up
6. Reach out to mental health care helplines

3am Thoughts

I don't know how I am feeling I'm not feeling sadness or pain kinda feeling numbness and voidness in my chest not because I failed but because I've seen too many times getting my hopes shattered my prayers unanswered even trying my best every time it's all waste and there's this continuous little voice that won't stop asking why and ifs it's not that  I'm not trying but I'm tired of trying and still not making it all i ever wanted was to be happy I don't to live anymore but for that I don't even have the courage I just want to sleep for a long time want to disappear I really my life and end this torture but I can't do that I've my parents to look after I can't betray them but nothing is comforting me anymore I hate myself but i am also sorry for myself hope you guys are doing good. 

Depression

I just have so much going on and I don’t know what to focus onnnnn ahh it feels very chaotic 🫣 I just don’t know how to get myself going to do all this stufffff

You ever feel where everything you do just became a routine. It's the same everyday, no excitement to get up in the morning. You just lazily get out of the bed, do the usual things you do on a regular day and at the end of the day you feel more empty inside. It's like you're a living zombie everyday and you're just tired of it but you still need to continue because you have to and no one will do it for you.

Lonely

Not sure why but Taylor Swift's love story is making me get happy whenever I listen to it😍
Hearing her heartbreak songs to this song which is filled with love that in her voice may be a reason too❤️‍🔥💯

Music

How to learn to love myself. I love my son. I love my family. I love my boyfriend. I love my dog. But loving me is hard. Many times during the day I catch myself saying “I want to die.”
Idk why it’s not everyday though just some days. I quickly try to change the narrative in my head though because I’m pregnant and I don’t want to leave my son or hurt him. He need my body to survive and Ik I can be a good mom. Every little fight can push me to the edge of not wanting to live. I’ve always been a people pleaser. But I don’t really have many people in my life other than my boyfriend right now. I go days without talking to anyone. My life usually consist of nothing and no one. Ik not living in this world doesn’t scare me. It just scares me thinking of leaving my son. Idk how to make friends. It’s like I’m not sad in my life or not all the time but I’m also not happy I’m just living. Most people take advantage of me. If I wasn’t here Ik it wouldn’t really effect many people. I’m just writing this to get this off my chest. I would never tell anyone in my life this cuz honestly I don’t want pity idk what I want tbh. I thought getting pregnant would make me happy finally have my person to love and a person who loves me. But now even if I wanted to kill myself I couldn’t because my boy needs me. So I’m just stuck. Stuck in a world I don’t want to be in but don’t want to leave my baby alone in and I want him to grow. I wish I could be happy and not weak minded. I wish I could have friends and be prettier. I wish a lot of stuff. I’m depressed and have an anxiety problem. I’m weak minded but not weak I’m strong person idk what’s wrong with me.
