READERS tell me something. Is it just me or do u ever read a book where u know something embarrassing is going to happen wid one of the characters, it hasn’t happened yet but is going to and u kind of want to throw the book across the room bcs second hand embarrassment but u also kind of want to continue reading bcs u just have to know if it’s as bad as u imagined

Second hand embarrassment is just you getting embarrassed cause you imagined yourself in others place .
Wow I never thought if it this way. I always believed that it’s bcs i have connected with the character or something and so I feel embarrassed if they’re in a weird position

That is a possible reason too, but quite often you would place yourself in protagonist shoes and imagine stuff happening with you. That’s fair though, cause you get to enjoy the book more.
