Okay so, I’m suffering through severe health anxiety from past 2 months and its getting worse day by day. I’m literally crying rn.
Today also my pulse rate was so high, I’m feeling short of breathe and I’m afraid what if I’ll die…😭 I’m just 20 .I’m afraid of sleeping alone even. I’m experiencing all the symptoms of almost every big disease what should I do?

Looks like mild asthma symptoms to me, you should consult doctor. It can be due to anxiety. Don’t worry our mind has some sort of alarm system, it triggers when your brain is not getting enough oxygen. You won’t die because not breathing in sleep for sure unless you decide to sleep underwater.

Experiencing the same sometimes. Had really hard episodes of it last months, but it’s getting better. First start is always seeing a doctor. Look for one that you trust, and that’s compassionate. You psyche is playing a very very big part in this.
If he tells you you’re okay, it will probably not help that much. When I had health anxiety, I always thought “what if he missed something”. But he didn’t miss something. My brain was stuck in problem solving mode of a problem that was only in my imagination.

What really helped me was time. Time helps to notice that “if I had these symptoms the last 5 days, and I didn’t die, and everytime they want away, I’ll also be okay this time.” Even if the symptoms arise, I knew, they’ll go away eventually.

A second step was writing down my exact feeling just after these anxiety attacks. Writing how it started, what I felt, everything that I remembered. When it started again, it was easier to recognize that the feelings that are coming up are because of the anxiety, and I was able to not get caught up in it so hard.

Remember. If you’d have a deadly disease, you’d know it - I swear. Doctors would have recognized it, and you would have very strong health symptoms. And a human heart can’t suddenly stop - it’s pure physics going on in your body. You’ll not suddenly die.
