It's ok if he doesn't understand this now, maybe he needs some time. All this is new for them so we can't force them to just accept things as is in a short span of time. 

Confusion

My father is an atheist I'm a big shiva devotee even though I'm born in a Hindu family in not allowed to carry out religious practices at home. I wish I could leave this house but I'm a girl. I worshiped lord shiva against his wish and he started troubling my whole family because of it. To avoid arguments in my family I today had to put away shiva linga from my own hands . I wish to cut my hands off. This was the only base of life I knew . This was my mental health this was all I had which is now being taken away forcefully. I am ashamed to call myself his daughter to some people it may not seem like a big issue but when you are spritual devoted and faithful it is the extreme of all the feelings saying that I'm hurt would be underrated at this point. I never asked for anything in life I just wanted to worship in peace and now that I am no longer allowed to do it im miserable . P.s. talking to him won't help at all I tried to get things straight he is just so arrogant how can he enforce his beliefs on me? I'm not looking for any solution here I just wanted to say things out loud. Thanks for bearing w me

I got a call from my clg work some work and my dad was shouting soo loudly and was giving very very bad words and rhe other person on call heard it all… I just muted it and cut the call and texted will call you tmrw in the morning…
I’m feeling soo shameful and embrasing like yrr my image is very good in clg and my dad keeps on shouting for the whole time with bad words arghhh

3am Thoughts

I hate my dad for leaving us. He's lucky my brother's not like me wanting to go to the city - work, strive, explore, learn. But what if he is? He'll get no chance because Mama will be left alone. I hate my dad. 

Family

Im 23old I love my mom so much and also my dad, but im getting angry always on them im hating myself , i have seeing them they always fights and scold at each other i used to see them, they love each other but they there is nk understanding between them, my mom not like my dad thoughts and he also , i tolerant them and control they fights and behaviour, but now iam shouting at them, its unlike my behavior im hating myself, my love them so much but they not quitted fights between i have send so many times both of them about this but they never listen to me, if one should stop the fight will be stopped know i have send this so many times, they verbal abuse each other not that extreme, they not fights and argues very much but everyday they argues so much im hating it im going through bad phase of my life , im not able to control my emotions and im scolding at them.

I have so much to tell to my dad but he never listen to us he always anger, and behaves like child no tension no worries, in my 23years life he never asked me how your studies going and its everything good, he cares for me but he never talks to me nicely, how much we can tell to my mother , my friend all drinks and smoke , once i send my mom about this she never give permission to met my friends and go with friends, later i never tell my mother about my daily activities, i seems to be happy outside but im not happy inside.

Hello, so recently my parents separated from each other and it’s been really rough, I would not have a problem with them separating because I understood that was the best choice since their relationship wasn’t going well because of cheating. So now I am living with my mom and it was working out I noticed that it was way more peaceful in the house then it was before, however, lately I learned that my dad was still contacting my mom and eventually that progressed to threats and “stalking” (my mom already filed a restraining order), so I decided to talk to my dad about this and with that conversation I noticed that I couldn’t convince him that all that he was doing was hurting her, so I asked a question involving the fact the he messaged her about seeing her google search history and not liking what she searched up, since I already knew the answer to that question I wanted to see if he was going to lie to me and guess what, he did, at that moment I just felt like I couldn’t trust him anymore, I also learned the he got my mom fired from her job, and that really make me sad, I couldn’t believe my dad was doing that, and now We probably won’t even be able to sustain ourselves, but the worst part is when I heard my mom crying when she was in the shower, that really messed with my heart, the only thing I don’t want to happen is her crying, lately I have also been feeling useless, not that I have suicidal thoughts, I would never do that, It is just that things have been so hard lately that I don’t know what to do.

I don’t know if anyone is gonna take their time to read this, but still, I just needed to let some stuff out you know.

i am 18 year old, generally my parents have frequent fights, but during this lockdown they had a major fight, my dad said something to my mom and to my grandmother which he shouldn't have said, i lost my control and shouted on my dad for his behaviour, i never thought that my father would feel so bad about it, he really loves me and was really hurt by my words and from that day onward he is not talking to me. i dont know what i did wrong but this is killing me. he was also teaching for my upcoming entrances and now has stopped it, i dont know whether i was wrong or not but i have tried talking to him and he gives me uninterested replies. i am so mentally disturbed i am not even able to study and i dont know what to do

I feel like I've lost the bond I had with my mom once. We were the closest anyone could ever be. I was the closest to her out of her three children. My father was abusive, violent and unavailable emotionally and a Casanova. He has several relationships in the past with several women and still does, probably. He made my mother's life miserable but she put up with him to raise us. I'm a 21 yo and my my siblings are 19 and 15. He wasn't even a very good father. We aren't on talking terms as of now because of the silliest thing which makes no sense but that's not the point right now. A couple years back my mother met this man and really connected with him. She asked for my permission to have a relationship with him and I felt like she deserved it. She deserved someone to appreciate her and to fill that gap of a partner in her life. So I encouraged her to go ahead and be friends with him. That man is married and has two kids. I always warned my mom to never meddle in his family and be that woman because she knows how if felt to be on the receiving end. Anyway, one thing led to another and she became really close with that person AND somehow his family. The family doesn't know about their relationship. Anyway, shortly after she got close with him, she changed. I mean, the way she talked or behaved or the things she said or did or the way she made decisions, completely changed. She started consulting everything with him before making any decisions. Soon he got in on all our life decisions and she even made me talk to him. Initially it was fine but he started meddling too much in our personal life problems. Gradually he started making sexual jokes with me and I was uncomfortable but I didn't say anything because my mom was so smitten by him. It wasn't late before he started making sexual remarks about my body and how sexy I am or my curves or asking me about my sex life with my boyfriend. He made weird indirect comments about my boyfriend and it made me very very uncomfortable and I couldn't stand it anymore. I didn't wanna ruin things for my mother so I stopped speaking to him. Blocked him and cut him off. My mother started forcing me to talk to him after a while because he used to ask her why I wasn't talking and apparently she couldn't see anything in front of his will. I told her I'm not comfortable and begged her to stop forcing me. My mom held this as a grudge against me I think and ever since then she has been so distant. I mean, I feel like I lost her. She is so invested in him and his family and cares so less for us, whom she sacrificed so much for back in the time. She went to attend a friend's anniversary on the same day as my sister's birthday, and then forced her to accept a very expensive ipad that man giften her, which when my sister refused because it is ridiculous to accept such expensive gifts from people, my mother didn't talk to her. On her birthday. On my brother's birthday which was two weeks after this, she caused a scene because my unavailable dad decided to show up and to avoid drama we decided to have one meal out with our dad and second with our mom. She threw a tantrum and after we returned from our meal with dad, she only took my brother out and not us because we suggested the plan (which she agreed to before lmao).
The point of mentioning the whole birthday fiasco is that, about a month and a half back, it was that man's daughter's birthday for which my mother flew in one day in advance to surprise her. I mean? I just don't know what to say. The covid situation was terrible back then and she still traveled just for his daughter, leaving her own two kids back at home(I am stuck in another city) alone with their 75-yo grandmother. When the time to return came, she suddenly started caring about covid and how traveling is unsafe and has been staying with him and his family since then. I wanted to go back home, she bought me the ticket, and then two days later she called me and made 5 other people from my family to call me and ask me not to go because of covid. I would have agreed if she hadn't gotten me the ticket 2 days ago. But guess what? That man told her to stop me, because (I know it's unsafe to travel during covid and I do not encourage that at all) if I went home, everyone will start questioning why she can't? When I questioned her, she made me talk to him and my blood boiled at the sound of his voice. I hung up and my mother called me back to scream at me and we got into a fight and I told her directly that he made sexual advances at me and she pretended to care for a day but she's still there, still very happy with him and his kids and I don't think she's gonna give him up even though he tried to harass her own daughter. I don't understand. This is not the woman I called my mother. I mean, I don't recognize her anymore. I was so close to my mother and now she's just some woman who doesn't even ask if I ate or not? It is all my fault.
