My father beat me yesterday, on my birthday. I called the cops, they came and said it was a f a m i l y m a t t e r. I ran out to my friend, she paid my cab. I’m home again tonight, I feeling anxious.
But somehow I’m clear. I KNOW I DO NOT HAVE TO FOLLOW HIS OR MY MOTHERS RULES ANYMORE. When I was on the floor and couldn’t breathe SHE told me to stop. I couldn’t move.
I know my goals and it’s not theirs. I do not need their advice, I’m following my own. Fuck it. It’s my dream, my business my education I have paid for myself. I’m going for it my way. It’s not theirs.

Hey, I think you are doing something very brave. A lot if people stay under their family and cannot pursue their dreams or even are not allowed to dream.
