My boyfriend’s relationship with music annoys the fuck out of me. He is constantly singing or playing a song, and before you call me a hateful bitch hear me out. He plays the same music over and over and has made snide remarks about his music being better than others including mine. He will sing while I am talking, and keep singing while I ask him a question until 5 seconds late he pauses answers, and keeps singing. I want to just talk and hang with him. He has to bring his music. I want to play my music, he changes it to his music. He will talk about the same song and the same singer over and over. When he says something about music I do not know about, he will be condescending.
You need to talk to him about this. My dad does the exact same things, like singing extremely loud when we have people studying and taking tests in the house, and playing the same songs over and over constantly and getting offended when we tell him to stop singing or playing the same song over again. You just need to talk to him about this and really explain your annoyance about his habits.
Girl nothing can be done if you don’t talk to him about this… just tell him how much it makes u sad and annoyed…i guythat should work…he might get irritated first but don’t worry…he will understand
Hahaha dude you just reminded me of my ex. We would be talking over a call in the middle of the night and he would start singing songs. He would sing one song and then another and then he would ask me to tell him to sing a song. He would record his songs and send them to me. He wanted me to praise his singing, which honestly was not even that good. I would get annoyed at night when he would just not stop singing songs and also I sing sometimes and I personally think that I sing good and so many people have told me that I have a good voice but he used to tell me that I don’t know how to sing. Only he knows how to sing haha. BTW do watch out for narcissistic behaviors in your partner. Cause in my case my ex was a narcissist.
I haven’t been in a relationship like yours but my parents always talks things out. For instance, my father always smoke cigars and my mom is annoyed to that. They talked it out and have set a time for when and when not to do the annoying habit.
