How do I heal from someone that never had the same feelings as me? I liked them so much but they didn't feel the same despite going on dates and texting. I always catch myself feeling okay without them but other days I miss them. It's pretty lonely because they were the person I would text all day and now I don't have anyone. I need ways to get them out of my head and try to be happier.

I just moved abroad lately and since then its been so tough to keep up with people back home. Mostly coz dont feel like talkin much. I knw tht they wanted me to call and talk to them bt i can't. I feel like shit. I want to cry but I can't. I don't know what is happening to me. There is a volcano of feelings inside me and I fear that it will erupt anytime soon. 
How I wish it was easy to deal with people. There is a saying that the people you surrounds, affects your energy and it's more likely that you will become like them. And I believe that. Because when I surround myself with ambitious and open minded people, I feel great, confident and excited about my own aspirations. I wish the same would apply around small minded people but that is definitely not the case. 
I'm someone who has goals. I have the clarity of what I want. I believe I'm quite organized about my life. Toxic people do ruin life. It's a statement that we cannot deny. The problem that I'm currently facing is short mindedness. I HATE SHORT MINDED people. I feel irritated, angry, makes me cringe, feel like crying and makes me want to kill that person. They really have the talent of getting into your nerves. I came to the understanding that you can't deal with these people, no matter what you say or do. Because they have a typical mentality that would never change. One of the worse things of these people are the fact that they believe in stereotypes. They cannot think independently. And, of course they know it all. You can't argue with them because they fucking don't listen. Their mind is so narrow that you will find that they keep repeating the same things again and again. There is nothing new with them. If you say something that does not match their beliefs, they will say that you still have to learn. They will make you feel petty and stupid just to prove they are right and you are wrong. They just can't stop talking. They don't even try to think or understand someone else's perspective. They are always right and you are the stupid one. Living with such kind of people, and constantly seeing them every day is too hard. Sometimes they would say the most absurd thing and I would be like, why? Why are there short minded people and the fact that I can't share that with anyone is worse. My feelings are mine and I really can't do anything about it. I think I just need to find some way to deal with it.
