It ended with the guy but I still miss him... can I tell him that I miss him?

He still talks to me time to time as a friend... so I thought of following a quote not to live in regrets and speak what my heart says

Won't that be weird? Maybe he will lie not to hurt me...

So I just message him out of the blues jf he misses me? 

Can I show you what I wanted to text him?

"Hi, I know you probably don't wanna hear from me but I just want to tell you that I miss what we used to be before the misunderstandings came in... I don't live in regrets so will just say it that, I miss you.

But yeah I guess I can't hold onto those memories forever, sooner or later will have to let it go.."

Well it started off so well, and was going smooth. As we got to know each and hung out, it was good. He was always bad at communication but he would try to talk to me always, but as days went he would barely text me or meet me and I always complained about it to him.. this wasn't even a relationship yet. 
So he said he doesn't see this progressing into a relationship cuz he won't have time for me... 

So after giving me so much attention and being loving... he ends it saying he won't be able to give me time or make time to meet me cuz his schedule is so busy..

I have a strong bond with my brother. But those constant fights have made our relation sour. I don't know how to reach to that unknown person anymore.

Today morning i left for college and was in a cycle rickshaw listening to music. I'm usually very alert but today i was changing my track when two bikers came and snatched my phone and earphones and ran away. I couldn't even process it at that time. I understand that losing your phone is a material loss no matter what was in it. However, I just can't seem to shake off the flashbacks of the very incident and blaming myself. I could have been more careful and alert. It feels like i just gave it to him. Im scared of leaving for college tomorrow. I don't know how to stop overthinking
