Isnβt time wasted when you realized years late about what you want to do? Iβm still in school.
Honestly, I donβt think so, I have done two degrees now and am still not entirely sure what I want to do but I thoroughly enjoyed my studying and learnt many things and made so many important friends. Maybe Iβll go into what I did my degrees in, maybe I wonβt but I definitely donβt think time is wasted. So long as you are doing everything with intention and doing things you enjoy :)
And what if Iβm gonna shift to another course even though I havenβt finished my current one yet? It took me time to realize what I wanted to pursue and I was in the middle of finding it while studying a course Iβm not exactly passionate about.
I think that is okay. Of course, there is merit in finishing the course you have started however if it is not bringing you joy, or if you are no longer interested then shifting to a course that is going to be more fulfilling to you would make more sense. If you know what you want to switch to, go for it. Despite what we are often led to believe, life has no rules, you donβt have to keep going with your current course if you donβt want to. Pursue what is going to make you happy.
Thank you, @zanshin! Your words mean a lot for someone who is truly undecided despite feeling unhappiness in my current program π
