Is there any female here who uses a menstrual cup??
I SO want to try using one but I’m afraid it would be painful to use it for first few times.
I’d really like if someone shared their experience with me so I can be less afraid 😅

Hi there!! 😊 I’m genuinely glad to hear that you’re considering using it. It’s honestly one of the best changes I made in my life. Let me give you a small walkthrough.
So around two years back, I started noticing a lot of these videos going around on YouTube about this new product. Till date I had never used anything apart from a pad. I was thinking of making a switch to tampons, but I heard so many horror stories, that I cancelled it out. But this one seemed to have so many advantages and also seemed so good to be true. I literally sat down and watched a lot of videos, read a lot about them. Eventually, I just ordered online as I knew that, you’ll never know unless you try.
One of the most important things that I realised with this process is, that you need to learn to trust your body. And that’s exactly what did. When it arrived and I got my period that month, after taking a shower I decided to use it. It’s a bit tricky, yes. But, as soon as you nail it, there’s nothing like it. I would suggest you to watch a few videos about the different kinds of ways you can fold it,so that it goes into your body safely. Ones you put it in, it stays there due the vaccum produced. The first two times, wear the cup and a pad as well in case it hasn’t fit inside properly. Overtime you’ll get used to it and you won’t need a pad. The benefits are just endless. I mean imagine you won’t need to spend a ton of money on pads, by not buying pads, the environment is safe. As for you, you can do any activity whatsoever after wearing it . I have travelled long journeys and I have jumped into water. It’s absolutely amazing. Cleaning it is also easy. You just need to place it in hot water to clean it. You’ll just feel so free after a couple of weeks.
I really hope this helps. If you have any other questions at all about it, just keep replying here. I’ll surely try and make you understand it better. ☺️ Hope this helps ❤️
Take care, stay safe. 😁

wow!! That was very informative. Do we have to remove it every time we pee?

@wearyhopes

No no. Not at all. The cup fits into your vaginal opening not the urethra. So, you don’t need to remove it. You only need to remove it every 8-9 hours… This also depends on your flow. Empty it out .
Method to remove it is to make sure you have clean hands. The cup has a stem that you can gently pull on. This will break the vaccum that was created upon insertion. Then slowly with two fingers, pinch the bottom of the cup and slowly pull it out. Empty it, rinse it with water an re-insert it. It may seem like a tedious task at first, but trust me. The day you get used to it, it’ll change so many things. Also, one cup can be use for upto 6-7 years. Sometimes even 10 years. So, all those years of almost no pads. 😊
