Is it only me or almost every indian femaleβs parents are pretty regressive when it comes to stuff like your ultimate aim is to marry, serve your family, care for them, sacrifice your ambition/career for your family and then have babies? Tbh, I feel like saying f**k you to them when they slightly mention these things or try to define my worth by this kinda stuff.
Today they tried to question my worth as a woman just coz I couldnβt make round, soft rotis for them in dinner? I mean, what?! It makes my blood boil in retaliation that I want to shove it down their faces that Iβm not your typical woman, sorry. But I just end up keeping my mouth shut thinking itβs worthless trying to make my rigid as hell parents see through my pov.
But itβs frustrating as hell because at the end, the situation stays the same: them being so regressive minded and me being so disappointed in them.
At times like these, I wish I was born a male.
oh girlllll I feeel you . This is so frustrating and depressing. What so ever we do or say, at the end of the day story remains the same.
Exactly, ikr?! Ugh.
Uh I get it. Itβs really a struggle to be a female in this country. Im so sorry you have to go through this :/ just donβt let it affect you alot. Please be safe and love and take care of yourself. <3
Yeah. Now, I have stopped paying any attention to these kind of regressive thoughts. Thank you! You too. :)
