Hi prince,
I hope u are doing good.
Yes i too have this habit of self talking…
Actually it is our subconscious mind…
See sometimes u need to remind urself u can do it…
I mean give a pep talk to self
Encourage self
Some self affirmations…

Also i have habit of reminding myself other things
Like i got to do this
I got to do that etc etc…

I trouble myself
I scold myself
I call myself stupid…

I do it all…

Thank you…
Take care
Good luck
God bless.

@kusum

To add to
I also used to do a lot if self talk while studying or revising…

I’m glad you’re here. We’re here to listen and support you. How are you doing today?

I think from my subjective viewpoint it’s quite healthy to do that as most of us do it in some capacity when learning or at work. If you don’t mind me asking what was the conversation you were having that you think might have led to an inner conflict?

Prince @prince26

well I am doing decent today … I was alone for most part of the day . I did my work and there were some high points and some low as well…

well I was just sitting last night at my study table and thinking about the things and the people that happened to me and I was talking to myself what I did … can I improve for the future … could I have done things differently I would have been in better place with better people … or was I a fool to make just handful of friends who have now broken all contacts …
I guess these things might never go away I have to learn toc ontrol my thoughts

Thanks for sharing that Prince.

By explaining what you’re undergoing, you have identified the potential markers of where the source of your internal dialogue is coming from and this is extremely important.

We can also look at this positively as a process of Introspection which is the examination of one’s own conscious thoughts and feelings. Introspection generally provides a privileged access to one’s own mental states, not mediated by other sources of knowledge, so that individual experience of the mind is unique. Introspection can determine any number of mental states including: sensory, bodily, cognitive, emotional and so forth.

Working on yourself and towards your goals is one of the best ways to forge ahead and if this process of positive introspection gets you there, you can make good use of it. Sometimes the process of this internal dialogue can get overwhelming as well. In such instances, and as a suggestion only as I’m not a licensed medical professional:

Do:

Spend some time expressing your emotions.

Share your feelings with close friends who can remain balanced and empathetic.

Don’t:

Ignore positive feelings or experiences. It can be easy to let the break up color your view of everything else. Some people start to view life as either all bad or all good, which makes it difficult for them to recover from the break up.

Spend a lot of time with friends who increase your negative feelings.

As always we’re here for you and we’ll do our best to support you 😃
