In grade 8 I and my best friend from 11 years sunny decided to include another girl claire and form a trio. We exchanged our seats and sat as trios for months, ate lunch together, had a group chat, skipped classes in the bathroom together, and wrote each other messages during class on paper. We were inseparable. Then near our 3rd semester in 8 classes, sunny started to tease claire. Claire was dark-skinned and her parents had financial trouble. Sunny would often compare our hands and point out how dark and ugly claire was and how she had a Vivo phone, sunny would often show off how she was going to HK or she had an iphone and stuff. I actually didn’t think much of it thinking it was normal as we were BFFs but over time sunny started fat shaming us and comparing our weight, telling us how claire wasn’t fluent in English and stuff. Things got much worse during the final semester. Claire had a boyfriend and was hiding it from both of us, I got to know that after our 3rd day of the exam. She didn’t tell sunny because sunny would tell everyone about it as it was supposed to be a secret. Our school puts students in different sections according to the results and there is a separate building for 9th and 10th graders I and claire were in the same section while sunny got separated. Sunny was in HK during the first 2 weeks of school. So , i found her bench mates as nobody she knew was in her sections. After she started coming to school I and claire would help her adjust to the new building, we found new friends for her too and we used to spend breaks together with her. We had breaks after 1st period and we would wait for sunny in front of her class but she would never actually wait for us and come to get us. In the second period, we had a teacher who would not let us take the class if we were late. And sunny knew about it, sometimes she would not come out of the class and be late. So we would go without her and when we went together we would be late and had to stand outside. She got angry that we went without her so she found new friends and she claimed them as her best friends. Me and sunny sat together in tuition as claire didn’t take tuition classes, at tuition I saw that sunny wrote Ella, sally, and sunny BFF and I teased her. She got angry and blasted out on me saying me and claire would leave her alone and go without her and found new friends and ditched her , she somehow knew about Claires bf and accused us of not telling her. I tried to console her in many ways but failed even offered to buy her a book she wanted , later we were back together but sunny didnt talk to claire and hated her . Story forward we got into another fight , me and sunny decided to exclude her and move on . So claires cousin asked sunny about why we fought and that bitch wrote a paragraph telling she felt scared when she was alone and we left her even when we knew that and things that never happened . She never told us that she was scared when alone . And today she told claire that she cried for 1 hour because we told her something that broke her heart . should we talk to her again???
