Iām a 20-year old engineering student. So what happened today is my crush approached me for being a UI/UX designer for the startup she is starting. We had never talked before so this was the first time weāre having a conversation. I was overwhelmed and of course, wanted to work with her. This was a great chance for me to try my luck on her. So today we had a meeting where she explained the idea and plan. Tbh, I was disgusted. The idea she was talking about already exist in the market. It was clearly evident by her talk that she wants fundings for her startup(IDK why!?). In a nutshell, our opinions and mindsets didnt match a bit and I said I need little time to think about whether Iāll be able to help you or not. Fast-forwarding to 3 hours, I just DMed her on WhatsApp that Iāll not be able to give time because I didnt find the idea good. Iām like āit was just a single chance with me which I just missedā but also on the other side I cannot waste my time where Iāll not get anything to learn.
If your thoughts donāt match then itās better to leave the crush as a crush itself !! But the looks of your words it feels like u need someone who can challenge you intellectually. You are only 20, make space cz youre gonna have crushes left right and center š Donāt worry itās not going to be a painful experience but a fun one.
Its not necessary that my partner needs to be like me because it finishes the chances of discovering new things. The main problem arises when they are not ready to listen to my opinion. And yeah, I appreciate intellectual talks most of the time. But its fun though as you said :)
