Anxiety

i don’t know why i’m currently self harming. i suddenly relapsed a month ago and i cut like crazy for a week and then suddenly stopped. and then i don’t know what happened but i started again yesterday, but don’t feel the need to do it today. my life isn’t great right now, but there’s nothing that i think could be a trigger. it’s really frustrating not knowing why i’m doing it.

i cut my whole thigh next to my dog. my dog started licking my cuts and it hurt so bad i almost cried. i took a breath, then let her lick all of my cuts. i cried of pain so much but i didn’t stop her. my leg hurts so bad i hop along in school.

Self Harm

How do I help someone who indulges in self harm?

I think self harm for me was always an escape. I made a cut so deep, I had to get 16 stitches and i felt nothing, I stared at the cut and felt comforted. I didnt think about what was going on in my mind, what made me do it, what triggered the emotions out of me. I was blank. All I saw was my mother weeping and trust me, not a single moment did I feel guilty. I wanted to get help, I asked for it. My mother then acused me of being too weak. I didn't have the permission to cry, if I Cry, its a sign of weakness. I've stayed cold for so long, I don't feel anything anymore.
