I have been feeling a bit off since yesterday. Everyone has been posting on social media about sexual awareness week and people are coming forward with their stories too. I’m not comfortable because it triggers me. I don’t think I could ever come forward with my story. I just want to move on. I haven’t even told anyone about it so I can’t talk to anyone either. I wish I could just forget it all over again. Any advice?

Hi!
It’s fine not to share your story, it’s yours and you have the right to decide what goes and what stays.

However, incidents that make us trigger or shaken can’t be forgotten at all rather just stay deep down closed and remember as a past that we hope not to happen again. You can’t just move on because it’s not a relationship or something. It’s something which you wanted never to happen in life. Accept it, deal with it and say to yourself it happened, it was bad, I don’t want to think but if it comes I am going to be okay with that. πŸ’›πŸŒŸ
