I feel scared to sleep, lately ive been having nightmares or dreams about being chased by a Russian man. And getting kidnapped and forced into a marriage with him. I have this picture stuck in my head from that dream. We were in my moms house in the kitchen his hands were on my shoulders and he was squeezing them hard and saying in russain “tell her were getting married” he couldnt understand polish so i said to my mum “Hes forcing me to get married” and she looked at me as if she was hypnotized and said in russian " she said ‘forced’" and then the man threw me into the car and put chains on my hands…

You shouldn’t feel afraid to fall asleep. This isn’t the best help but I’ll talk from my point of view. I love the idea of ‘nightmares’ because it shows me how I would react to weird scenarios without any repercussions. Like if someone I loved died - I could see what I’d do; who I’d talk to; what I’d want to say. It’s amazing. But I don’t get them much. I have an incredibly active mind so I have to exhaust myself to the point of passing out to fall asleep. The advice I’d give you is to block out any negative thoughts before going to bed, avoid any dairy from about an hour before going to bed, and just try to think of something stupidly happy. If it’s a memory of your childhood or just something funny you saw online. Hope this helps x
