I feel like my boyfriend doesn’t understand the things I go through. He threatens to leave me if I self harm… Is he wrong for that? In my opinion I feel like he is because he said he’d be here for me no matter what… but now it’s like I’m walking on egg shells in my bad days because if I lose him I feel like I have no one left. And I feel like I can’t express that to him and I don’t know why.

He may or may not be wrong. There is a chance that he doesn’t know how to handle the situation when he sees you harming yourself so he does the easiest thing he could and that is to threaten to leave but I hope he learns to understand the situation better and help you in a way that is actually beneficial.
It’s very scary situation when you see your loved ones getting hurt especially if they are doing it to themselves so I won’t put the entire blame on him, he may be more scared than you.
So it’s better that you try to stop harming yourself and rather talk to him and if you don’t feel comfortable talking face to face the write him a letter.
And please take care of yourself,it would be nice if you focus on yourself rather than him right now.
